2015 VC Secret Santa Gift Exchange
HEY. You. Yes you! With the fangs.
We have, in our gracious graciousness, decided to extend the sign up deadline to Thursday, 12/3, at 11:59pm CST.
… We actually have enough people for a lively gift exchange, but we both decided moar gifts is always better 😉 I’m telling you, I’d be thrilled to receive a gift from any of the people who have signed up so far.
Once signed up, we will be arranging the givers/receivers and will send out assignments 12/6. Due date for gifts will be 12/23, 11:59PM CST.
If you’re unfamiliar with this exchange, this is the second annual virtual Secret Santa gift exchange for the entire Vampire Chronicles fandom. It works just like your ordinary Secret Santa, where each person is assigned someone they must gift to and remain anonymous towards until the final day of the exchange. The difference is, this exchange is entirely virtual, and thus requires no sharing of any physical addresses. All of the “gifts” are fanworks, be it writing, art, graphics, fanmixes, etc.
For more information on the exchange, visit our rules page, then head over and join. Definitely check out our archive of gifts from last year’s exchange too, to get a feel for what this event is all about!
And feel free to reblog this post. The more people that join, the more awesome stuff we all get to enjoy on the 24th! Our turnout is looking awesome thus far. 🙂

Just want some bloody PEACE.

’“I want to know, for example, why beauty exists,” she said, “why nature continues to contrive it, and what is the link between the life of a tree and its beauty, and what connects the mere existence of the sea or a lightning storm with the feeling these things inspire in us? If God does not exist, if these things are not unified into one metaphorical system, then why do they retain for us such symbolic power? Lestat calls it the Savage Garden, but for me that is not enough. And I must confess that this, this maniacal curiosity or call it what you will, leads me away from my human victims. It leads me into the open countryside, away from human creation. And maybe it will lead me away from my son, who is under the spell of all things human.“’ -Gabrielle de Lioncourt, The Vampire Lestat
