Hey Lestat, just curious… the song Sahara, by Nightwish. Any chance it’s actually one of yours? Because I stg it sounds so much like it’s about Marius and Akasha that it gives me chills, and I can’t help but laugh at the thought that maybe you let Nightwish record it so that you could sneak one more song past the rest of the coven. ;P
♛It is a good song and good ear, anonymous person! I won’t confirm or deny *smiles* That’s one of my little secrets… I do collaborate with musicians, but under pseudonyms. If they knew they were working with the famous Rock Superstar Vampire Lestat, they might hold back creatively, or get all overly obsequious, or both, and I wouldn’t want that. So stifling.
The coven does not, generally, support my original musical compositions, probably because they are envious of my incredible talent with it. Especially with lyrics.
That’s their loss. I don’t bring them along to the recording studio anymore.
I mean sure, they’ll ask me to play Chopin or Haydn or whatever at gatherings, they know I can’t refuse. So I’ll throw in some improvisation until they catch on and beg me to go back to the music as written.
I would also hope Lestat’s band would have a nice dose of Led Zeppelin mixed in there. (Also since he and Robert Plant have the same hair and elegance hehe)

stop romanticizing mic dropping… damage to sound equipment is no joke
Modern stage microphones for concert use are actually designed specifically with mic dropping in mind. When the move started to become fairly popular amongst performers back in like the early 90’s manufacturers started making their products more durable so that sound technicians didn’t have to buy a new mic every concert. The biggest concern most sound guys have when mic dropping is concerned is actually the feedback that’s going to be coming from the mic when it hits the ground. That’s why you always see the performers hold the mic out for a second before they actually drop it, to give the dude at the soundboard time to mute!

Hey, I forgot what happened to Lestat former band or Mater just never mentioned them? Like, what happened to that musicians? They were on the highest moments of fame and success and them BOOM their vocalist went m.i.a. Idk, I just caught myself thinking about it today. That must have been so confusing for them
Lestat tells us in QOTD that they survived and moved on w/o him:
“[The Coven was] relieved that the Vampire Lestat had died in the pages of the newspapers; that the debacle of the
concert had been forgotten. No provable fatalities, no true injuries; everybody bought off handsomely; the
band, receiving my share of everything, was touring again under its old name.”
