Re: the 20th Anniversary Bluray, Yes! I am aware. Thank you for thinking of me though, bc I found out about Prince Lestat through Tumblr, soooo IF THERE IS ANY VC NEWS I WANNA BE INFORMED IMMEDIATEMENT. After all, part of the purpose of this blog is sharing VC News ^_____^ 

I doubt it will have any really good extras but one can still hope bc we deserve new cast interviews at the very least! There was so little of that on the original DVD ;A; 

Speaking of VC News: AR was at ComicCon recently (July I think) which is suspicious… does she want to do a new graphic novel? Did anyone here see her, or know what she was doing there other than looking pretty and signing things? 

Your offer of a biographical-paragraph-writing-meme: How /would/ you describe me in a book? Being that most of what you know about me is my obsession with VC… maybe try to aim for a VC fanfic style, if you can <3 (you may publish, of course!)

She was certainly something to behold. A trick of the light could turn her eyes from golden, catlike and mischievous, to flecked with so much green one would think flora sprouted into their depths. She smiled teeth pearly white framed by lips the color of carnations. No one could deny that she was charming and beautiful, not even the cruelest of creatures could help but notice the light bell tone in her voice.

Now that sweet-baby-jesus-and-the-orphans is/are following i-want-my-iwtv, I have this weird image in my mind of Lestat carting sweet baby Jesus behind him in a Radio Flyer wagon with a little entourage of the cutest orphans… maybe he’s bringing them to Dora the nun… who you’ll find out about later on in the series.

WHAT’S IN A NAME

Few, even staunchest, fans of Anne Rice’s classic bestseller Interview with the Vampire will know that book that started off Lestat’s legendary odyssey originally had a slightly different title. Running up to the publication of Prince Lestat, a cover mock-up of the first edition with the original title was released, signed by Anne Rice herself. 

From a recent interview with her editor at the time: “While Anne’s title was catchy, to the point, we felt at the time that we had to make a statement with the title. For almost a century Bram Stoker’s Dracula had been the mold for the literary vampire, and with her sexy, tragic vampire Lestat, Anne changed all that. We felt that Lestat was not any old vampire, but the new vampire for a whole new generation. And that’s why it’s not an interview with A vampire, but with THE vampire!” 

Anne Rice’s vampire books have never been out of print, and a new novel round Lestat will appear this autumn – testament that Lestat is not only the vampire for the generation of readers in the ’70s, but for any generation!

ooc; I am actually scouring Anne’s Facebook for all of her posts related to VC throughout the past year and a half or so because of this new book that I’m still very fearful of.

This fandom had better love me; I feel masochistic listening to her talking for an hour and then delving into her Facebook page.  I hope I come back with my sanity in tact and not like Lestat in Blood Canticle.  I’m such a martyr for VC fandom.  Wish me luck.
