LOOK AT THESE FABULOUS COSPLAYERS! Thanks @vinceaddams for bringing these to our attention *u*

Lestat: Alyson Tabbitha:

“So I styled the wig and decided to do a makeup test….

….. UHM THIS IS DEFINITELY HAPPENING!

It’s nice to take a break from widowmaker cause this is like the complete opposite! LOL
My bro Michaelbgb Cosplay is gonna be Louis (and we might even have a Claudia?) ! We will be Vampire guest roaming the halls at Holiday Matsuri !! So hyped to get started on the actual outfit! — with Bloo Spirit.”

Louis: Michaelbgb Cosplay:

“Yo! So my Sister Alyson Tabbitha helped transform me into Louis from “Interview with the Vampire” for our group on Sunday at Holiday Matsuri! This test was a nice introduction to some more transformative makeup, and I’m really happy with how it turned out!”

BTW: Check out Alyson’s Captain Jack Sparrow cosplay it is SO ACCURATE.

Is it just me or do I get the feeling that people often forget that Akasha is canonly from Uruk, she’s Sumerian… Enkil on the other hand who people rarely even give a mention to is a pre-dynastic Kemetian. Akasha merely moved and adopted Kemet as her own when she made union with him. Both are undeniably PoC, and this is all up to reader interpretation, but Akasha in a historical sense is more likely to be Asiatic/Middle Eastern.

Thanks for sharing this background info, anon! Very informative.

vampireapologist:

The fact that Anne Rice sued people for writing fanfics is so hilarious to me when i think about how much Lestat would love fanfics.

He’d be so delighted to find out he had fans sitting in their bedrooms writing about him.

He’d walk into the living room with a lapto grinning any time his favorites updated, and Louis would try to leave right away. Louis would beg him to stop while he read them out loud.

#Headcanon accepted!

“Louis, Louis, always whining Louis…”

A punk jacket suited for a Brat Prince. Hand painted and studded, available here.

#PERFECT JUST PERFECT

I FEEL PERSONALLY OFFENDED THAT AR DID NOT MENTION MY PRECIOUS MURDEROUS TEENY TINY 104% CREEP BABY ARMAND IN THE VIDEO LIKE WTF.

LISTEN NONNY, GIVEN WHAT THE VC HAS BECOME, YOU DON’T WANT HER DRAGGING YOUR FAVES INTO THIS MESS.

Look what she *did* to him in PL:

Throughout the story of Prince Lestat, Armand does little other than be supportive of Lestat, in a way that almost seems obsequious. Not much really happens for Armand, he rides out the whole drama pretty unscathed, for which we should all be GRATEFUL.

thevampireforthesetimes:

Umm… so Anne Rice released a video (the day before her birthday) on her facebook that said she’s already working on a new Lestat book to follow Atlantis. (T_T) Bless.

^I can’t embed the vid, so here’s a screencap, anyway I watched it and took notes so you don’t have to the LENGTHS I go to for you and here are my notes:

  • Many new characters in PLROA
  • Louis – not a major player but a very important player.
  • Marius – plays a significant role
  • Fareed – plays a significant role
  • Viktor – is there
  • Rose – is there
  • Has some thoughts on the changes in the writing industry
  • “The name of the game is to keep writing and keep dreaming…”
  • Probs not ever returning to Cry to Heaven, but she loved it, “How the wounded can fight, how we can redeem ourselves through art and sexuality.”
  • Into the next VC story EVEN MOAR DANGERS AND CHALLENGES that come out of the Atlantis story.
  • Mayfairs – not going back right now, but there’s active interest in Hollywood, for a quality TV series. Promising talks going on.
  • AR does alot of planning w/ her writing, but “you have to be willing to throw it all away in the process.”
  • She quotes Sandy Gustin: “God triumphs on the ruins of our plans. And I think novelists have to be ready to triumph on the ruins of their plans.”
  • She loves us all
