We had a blog solely for that purpose, @vcpositivity, and also, for a similar purpose, @vcsecretgifts (which I helped to mod last holiday season and I still owe a substitute gift on!! My fic muse for it has not been cooperating). @vcpositivityhad posted over two hundred positive confessions from members of this fandom in the five months since it opened, but had to go inactive shortly after achieving that milestone *cries*
Those blogs still have great messages of VC fandom love pointing out the best points of specific ppl in the fandom here (sadly, some those mentioned are currently inactive). Both positivity blogs are now pretty much dormant, but I hope we can resurrect @vcsecretgifts for this upcoming holiday season :]
However, it appears to me that our fandom is almost at a zenith of fanwork production right now, and the quality is also very high! Fresh fanart and fanfic are being made, analysis of the text continues to thrive, there is a palpable ripple of excitement (or anxiety, depending on your stance, lol) every time we get a scrap of news about the official VC adaptations.
The VC RP community has fluctuated in activity but it’s active, and there are muses to play with. There are also excellent Original Character muses (vampires and non-vampires) in fic and RP. They’re very creative in how they blend in as if they were always part of the Ricean verse, and even expand the supernatural rules of it.
I would advise you to go to the RPers and ask for recommendations of other members. You could also try my #VC Fandom Hunters tag.

So, my Lestat can’t do full RP, there just isn’t the time for it, but he does answer Asks here.
The best way to break into RP is to send Asks to RP characters who CAN do threads, and start a conversation! Some of them prefer to RP with people who have a blog set up for just RP but some of them will have a conversation with anyone 😉
Check out my tags below, you might find some active RPers that way. Go shopping, find one you like, peruse their archive, see who they interact with, and if you want to engage them, send them a private message and try to start a thread.

I’d recommend following her to anyone and everyone. Go play with her! No ooc drama, just ic fun and quality entertainment here. New to tumblr RP like I am, but if you can persuade her to play with you, go do it!
Also, I can and could and have and will say about a billion more things, because apart from being a very talented writer and funny and sweet person, she also happens to be my girlfriend. So, yeah, people, she’s all that plus hot and mine. I’m so lucky.
// Where do I even begin? Let’s start like this. I played Nicolas on another platform and some kind soul linked me to a drabble on tumblr, written by @a-misunderstanding-my-love, because it reminded them of my Nicolas. I agreed and proceeded to quite literally read through the entire journal.
Through that process I found out that this amazing Nicolas writer also played Gabrielle – be still my heart – and then of course a perfect iteration of the one and only Brat Prince. I also discovered some of the other great writers that way and I finally decided that, yeah, this might make it worth giving tumblr RP a try. So I messaged her and asked if she’d be interested in playing with me and she was even so kind as to help me get started by explaining what to do and showing me the ropes a little.
Then the fun really started. But yes, what to say about her? I don’t know her that long yet, but already it feels weird if we don’t at least talk for a bit every day. She’s helped make me feel welcome from the time on when I was just someone who was a great fan of her writing and desperate to interact and now we get to have fun in various threads and just by talking to each other.
That she’s a talented writer is an understatement. Obviously her writing was enough to make me want to brave tumblr, so that should speak for itself. She always manages to make me laugh or want to cry or even make me angry – at her character for the flaws she portrays so well – often all of that within just a few lines. She knows so much about canon and fandom, she’s witty and sarcastic and sweet, fascinating and experienced and always a joy to talk to. I admire her deeply and I’m pleased to no end that I actually get to write with her.

What I like about the theme: My goodness! Its organization is perfect omg i cry >.<
What I like about their muse: As far as I know, they have 2 muses (Louis and Lestat) and I love every single bit about them. I mean, they are so complete and accurate!
What I like about their portrayal: As I was mentioning before, their portrayal is terribly accurate and wonderful. The amount of research and character analysis they’ve made is utterly noticeable, and it’s amazing how their Louis and Lestat answer every fandom’s doubt.
What I like about the mun: EVERYTHING! I love how perfect their blog is and how right is the mun, who has answers for most of the fandom’s problems. They have helped me too much and I must admit that I am grateful for that and all the support and fandom love ( #Spread the love ) Well, basically she’s the fandom’s queen and I love them so much because they’re perfect.
