Can we host a little Vampire Chronicles event? Like a Septalamasca or some other ridiculous name, with our favourite vampires kissing or something? Pretty pretty please? Or could we do a little Halloween exchange, even if October seems so far away? ;n;

Well a real live event would be fantastic, personally, I’d love to rent a theatre and do a screening of IWTV w/ any of the original main cast there to provide commentary during the movie or a Q&A after and that will never happen *sobs*

As far as doing a gift exchange here in tumblrland, that’s been done before and is more doable! Ppl often really love giving and receiving gifts for it, it’s a great opportunity to spread some VC fandom love and positivity and really, who doesn’t like getting gifts?

I should bring back Santa Lestat in November… those asks were pretty fun.

Last holiday season I co-modded the @vcsecretgifts exchange. It takes a lot of effort, mostly in trying to drum up enough interest, and then policing ppl to submit their assigned gifts (a few never did theirs, and I volunteered to fill in for one of these and still haven’t found the right inspiration to WRITE IT YET *facepalm*) I’ll ask the founder of that blog if they have the time/desire to do it w/ me again.

Is this something ppl would like to participate in?

Trying to spread some VC love around here, that last question for Lestat about what he thinks of the tumblr fans, you can/should point out the best points of the specific people in the fandom here.

//ooc; I have a policy of not singling out favorites as it often has the unintentional side effect of making those not mentioned feel left out 😛

We had a blog solely for that purpose, @vcpositivity​, and also, for a similar purpose, @vcsecretgifts​ (which I helped to mod last holiday season and I still owe a substitute gift on!! My fic muse for it has not been cooperating). @vcpositivity had posted over two hundred positive confessions from members of this fandom in the five months since it opened, but had to go inactive shortly after achieving that milestone *cries*

Those blogs still have great messages of VC fandom love pointing out the best points of specific ppl in the fandom here (sadly, some those mentioned are currently inactive). Both positivity blogs are now pretty much dormant, but I hope we can resurrect @vcsecretgifts​ for this upcoming holiday season :]

However, it appears to me that our fandom is almost at a zenith of fanwork production right now, and the quality is also very high! Fresh fanart and fanfic are being made, analysis of the text continues to thrive, there is a palpable ripple of excitement (or anxiety, depending on your stance, lol) every time we get a scrap of news about the official VC adaptations.

The VC RP community has fluctuated in activity but it’s active, and there are muses to play with. There are also excellent Original Character muses (vampires and non-vampires) in fic and RP. They’re very creative in how they blend in as if they were always part of the Ricean verse, and even expand the supernatural rules of it. 

I would advise you to go to the RPers and ask for recommendations of other members. You could also try my #VC Fandom Hunters tag.

I know it’s hard to not do angst with Daniel and Armand (ha, I’ve tried) but I definitely say mission accomplished bc I yelled and grinned so big I hurt my face ;D

I love your designs for them and the details: I’m a sucker for glasses!Daniel (ty) and the scarf motif is great. both of them being wrapped in it but Armand’s portion tightly coiled, Daniel’s loose. 

It’s so hard to do merry things for Christmas in general without it being cheesy (especially with these knuckleheads) but this is sweet and funny without veering that way at all. ❤ ❤ ❤ I LOVE IT SO MUCH

You want Lestat or Louis and Lestat in  a sweater doing something cute. Here it is ❤ Both together in a sweater and with one scarf. If you look closer you’ll see that at the ends oft the scarf “Louis” and “Lestat’ are embroidered. Lestat use this situation and pull Louis with the scarf to the mistletoe 😉
