A chronological retrospective of the two rings Louis wears. For 200 years. Apparently Lestat could get him to change his wardrobe, kill people, and all kinds of other depraved things etc., but Louis kept his jewelry to a strict minimum.

One appears to be his wedding ring.

  • in the movie version, Louis is a widow. Maybe the ring was his wedding ring.
  • After the Dark Gift, he keeps it on. Maybe it’s earned new significance towards Lestat, now.
  • After Lestat’s “death,” Louis continues to wear the ring. Maybe it’s significant to both people he’s lost.

The other is a pinky ring.

  • This one may have just been fashionable to begin with.
  • Maybe it symbolized the child who died with his wife in childbirth.
  • Later, maybe it’s earned new significance when Claudia is given the Dark Gift.
  • After Claudia’s death, Louis continues to wear the ring. Maybe it’s significant to both “children” he’s lost.

UPDATE: anaryawe says:

(re: Louis & rings in the film) pinky ring was a gay code, or “no marriage plz”-code at some point. I’ve always thought that Louis’ pinky ring is his dead wifes wedding ring, and so signifies both “all the loves I’ve lost” and “tried heterosexuality once and it was a disaster”…

Ron Mueck, an Australian artist known for his hyperrealistic figural sculptures, has created his largest work to date. His installation Mass contains 100 human skulls which are scattered and stacked throughout a gallery at the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne, Australia.

The individual forms are created from fiberglass and resin, and when stood upright, rise to approximately three feet tall. In some areas of the installation piles reach five skulls in height, while in others visitors can approach individual works resting on the gallery’s floor. Placed amongst gilded paintings the works offer a somber reality, a morose peek into what physically relates each of us. (Source)

hello my vc fandom friends✨ I would like to share with you a little bit of Daniel Sharman aka my Lestat 🌶
I know not many will agree that he would suite for the role of our beloved brat prince, but I certainly do think he is the perfect man. ( especially his eyes – so dramatic and beautiful) Well if you don’t know him yet, I recommend you to watch #Fear the Walking Dead because Daniel is mesmerising and madly handsome on that show. PLUS I’m in love with his performance, his acting is really très formidable.
Who is your perfect Lestat? Let me know please, I’m quite curious! 🙂

This is a scary and beautiful handmade ring. The ring features spooky fog with three hands coming out of the earth. It’s definitely an eye catcher. Link to ring.
