Yes yes, memeything/fanart/fanfic/fanwork inspiration is, in actuality, the highest compliment to this blog, bc that’s REALLY what I do it for. When I started this thing there was fanwork but it was (and still is) all over the interwebs, and in my opinion there is not enough of it there is NEVER enough of it, so I wanted to have a collection of it for everyone’s enjoyment/inspiration, and a good resource for the fresh stuff, too 😀

(I struggle to describe it to ppl, I usually cater the length and depth of my description based on my audience, for example, to describe it to my 7 yr old cousin (who loves vampires and was a vampire princess fairy for Halloween): “It’s mostly about a happy vampire family with 2 dads, and they don’t always get along with eachother or the world.”)

As Tom Cruise put it so eloquently, “The movie is not for everyone.” No value judgement there; it’s just not everyone’s cup of tea, so I don’t try to sell it.

Thanks for such a lovely compliment! I try to help when I can *u* and plus which, I can’t install xkit at certain places where i am expected to not tumblr during the day like what? NO unacceptable! and once i figured out a workaround it seemed like other ppl should be enlightened as they may have a similar issue.

Hehehe… yes I am the drug dealer of the VC fandom and i am PROUD OF OUR PRODUCT it is highly addictive, oui?

There are other fandom fish than me out there who I’ve pursued for friendship and such, and it always gives me a thrill when my senpais notice me, so I try to do that MORE often, as much as I can, for ppl who pursue me, too! 

At least for me, it’s always been more about finding ppl who want to visit your fantasy world with you than anything else ❤

{{I have had a few threads out there on this blog and a few requests to RP, so I’m answering it here.}}

I’m dropping all outstanding threads. I’m flattered that ppl want to RP with my Lestat <3, but for now and the forseeable future, I won’t be RPing with anyone on this blog. This is still an Ask blog, but no real threads, as I don’t have the time for everyone who wants a thread. To pursue some and not others is like playing favorites. 

There are much more active ones out there, anyway! A great way to engage other RP blogs is to find the ones you like and see how they promote themselves. They usually send out Ask memes, and send eachother Asks, and that kind of thing. Make sure your Ask inbox is turned on so that people can send your muse messages.

1. Chocolate or Vanilla?

Vanilla Bean with toppings. But really, cookie dough or mint choc. chip ;D

2. Would you prefer to be happy and poor, or rich and sad?

Happy and poor. Thankfully I’m happy and not poor (not rich but, good enough) currently.

3. Do you believe in ghosts?

Not sure. I’m open to the idea. I don’t think the visible world is necessarily all there is.

4. Favorite book?

Don’t make me choose! Ugh. It changes. I feel like I’m betraying all my other faves to just choose one.

5. Do you have a favorite quote? Which one? Why?

From the movie the Edge:

“… most people lost in the wilds, they, they die of shame…"What did I do wrong? How could I have gotten myself into this?” And so they sit there and they… die. Because they didn’t do the one thing that would save their lives. Thinking.”

I love this quote bc there are so many situations in which we could sit around and fling blame around and feel ashamed, and yes, it’s okay to feel that, for a time. But to survive the wilderness, you have to set that aside and/or move on, and focus on how to improve the situation, bc things don’t usually get better on their own.

Tbh that movie is

highly underrated

and it has a ton of good life quotes.

6. Where do you come from? Do you have any traditional food?

Philadelphia, USA. City of brotherly love! Famous for cheesesteaks. 

I’m a New Yorker now, and our traditional food is probably pizza, I’ve had the best pizza ever here. 

7. Have you ever had existential crisis? If so, was it hard?

No, I have pretty much been able to roll with the punches my whole life. Maybe that existential crisis is on the horizon…

8. In a plane, do you like to be next to the window? why or why not?

Doesn’t matter. I prefer the emergency row, bc I’m calm under pressure and could help ppl in an emergency.

9. Do you play any instrument? Which one? Why?

I’m learning ukulele, believe it or not! I picked it up on impulse and I really enjoy it. Maybe I’ll record myself playing Amazing Grace, and upload here, I’m pretty good at that one.

10. If you could have any superpower, which one would you like to have? why?

Mind-reading/manipulation would be a huge help. My day job treats me well, I can’t complain, but the Mind Gift could help me get a better job, less work hours, more time for play! Which would also be enhanced with the Mind Gift ;]

11. Beauty or Intelligence? Why?

Why not both? Ok… beauty. It’s superficial, I know, and Intelligence is good, but being too smart can be detrimental, too. One can over-think things. Or be carrying around FAR too much information about one book series and one of it’s cinematic adaptations!!!
