Honestly, anyone in winter fashion is so immediately endearing. I love using pictures as desktops and phone backgrounds so image manips or fanart of this kind of theme would be excellent.
Well I hope this makes a good wallpaper! We’ve got the gang in winter gear circa post-QTOD, having a romp in the snow in Paris (or wherever!)… who’s responsible for crashing the boy’s sled is up for debate
okay fine it’s Lestat, but to be fair, Daniel was probably messing with his concentration…Gabrielle is a much safer sled-driver, hence Louis rides with her ;DThey’re not sledding in daylight, there’s just really powerful lighting on the mountain. REALLY powerful.

Hey Lestat! Do you or any of the VC vampires like snow? By the way this is coming from a person who lives in Minnesota and recently has it’s first major snowfall. Not sure how many inches we got but it’s a lot.

♛Minnesota, hm? We do travel to places to ski and romp in the piles of white stuff that we wouldn’t get in New Orleans. Might have to go there next…
We love lounging in a cozy cabin to watch the snow fall outside the windows… nothing quite like the inner peace and contemplation snowfall can bring.
Yes, we love snow. Most of us aren’t bothered by the cold. Louis is, and he will allow me to bundle him in enough layers so he can ski with us, or build snowmen and igloos. However, when he’s warm enough from a fresh kill, he just might strip off enough layers to regain flexibility of movement, he is a masterful snowball assassin, slinking around the forest like a ninja!
I call Armand “Panchino” sometimes and he doesn’t know why…

What do you think about snow?
I’ve always had a fondness for snow….except when encased in the fragile skin of a mortal. The cold and wet has always made me miserable. I remember struggling through it as a mortal when the wolves were bearing down on me. I remember how insidiously it would creep in around the windows at the castle or into the corridors, where it would settle in drifts and make us all huddle closer to our hearths. I remember those same drifts, filling up the kitchen in Jamestown. Laying in them as my lungs stung with each coughing fit. Thinking that I was going to die there.
But I also remember how sunlight looked on snow….how every crystal refracted the light and set the ground on fire! And how blue the hills looked on full moon nights. How every surface was carved in ice and glittering immediately after a storm…..the way the Earth slept beneath her downy blanket, a beauty waiting for Apollo’s kiss.
Winter is always there. When you are high enough in the atmosphere, that is where water turns to ice crystals and the air is thin. It simply waits for when it can return to embrace the ground again.

The cold seemed worse in Paris… I was never so glad of the fur-lined cape as I was then. I wrapped it around Nicolas and held him close to me when we went out together, and we walked in a tight embrace through the snow and the rain.
Cold or no cold, I can’t exaggerate the happiness of these days. Life was exactly what I thought it could be.
