Lestat does enjoy his trip to Wal-Mart. šŸ˜‰

No tears formula!

He’ll still find a way to cry about it.Ā

Petition to start using #spellbound for VC-related stuff the way some people use #WINNING or #Blessed.

OH WAIT MAYBE ARMAND IS RESPONSIBLE… #fic request

So this has circulated long enough, @takemetocoffin-or-losemeforever made this, and IT IS A PERFECT SCREENCAP&TEXTMEME COMBO BC:

– Look at Claudia’s face. She looks like she JUST told them. It had to be said.

– Louis is all *shitshitshit how can i answer her without lying…Ā ā€œI’m only gay for Lestat…ā€ No, that sounds weird… ā€œWe’re only gay sometimes…. like for 20 minutes at a time…ā€ No, sometimes it lasts longer… so conflicted… If I wait long enough maybe Lestat will have a better answer.

– Lestat is just standing there growling, not sure if he should be offended or impressed that she figured it out despite his efforts to keep certain things behind closed doors.Ā If I wait long enough maybe Louis will have a better answer.

Horror Vacui

Exploring the darkness 2/?

A memorable scene of Lestat finding piles of blond haired corpses in Magnus’ tower.Ā
Bodies were collected from various 19th century French paintings and arranged into an almost ornamental composition. The main source of inspiration being of course Gericault (The Raft of Medusa and studies). As in his works, the drawing explores the fragility of human body and the limits of human desperation when it comes to surviving.Ā

ā€œIn a deep prison cell lay a heap of corpses in all states of decay, the bones and rotted flesh crawling with worms and insects. Rats ran from the light of the torch, brushing past my legs as they made for the stairs. And my nausea became a knot in my throat. The stench suffocated me.

But I couldn’t stop staring at these bodies. There was something important Ā here, something terribly important, to be realized. And it came to me suddenly that all these dead victims had been men – their boots and ragged clothing gave evidence of that – and every single one of them had yellow hair, very much like my own hair. The few who had features left appeared to be young men, tall, slight of build. And the most recent occupant here – the wet and reeking corpse that lay with its arms outstretched through the bars – so resembled me that he might have been a brother.ā€ – The Vampire Lestat

#one of my fave scenes of course #bc i am gross apparently #is when Lestat sees this horror and tosses his cookies and thenĀ

#well #eats the tossed cookies again bc 5 second rule right?

Lestat would be the best, and sexiest, playboy ever.

ā™›What’s thisĀ "would be"Ā nonsense, ma chĆ©rie? What about IS?

image

Well alright, in all honesty, I don’t need to be the best, and sexiest, playboy ever. I did take a… sabbatical… for a good chunk of time during the 20th century. All I really require is to be seen as ONE of the best, and sexiest, playboys ever. *smiles widely*

what was the name of the song that lestat was playing when in the movie when we came back from the swamp , before louis baiscally burned down new Orleans

vampchronfic:

i-want-my-iwtv:

That would be the Piano Sonata in Eb by Joseph Haydn ;D

WHICH, IIRC, Tom had to actually learn how to play, because we do see a shot of his hands. His version sounds tuned differently than theĀ version below, and if so, that would make sense bc Lestat himself is ~tuned differently~ inĀ this scene.

^Go to 3:18 for the start of Lestat’s piece.

He plays Haydn in that scene because Claudia loved his music. It was a taunt.
