Summary: A rainy afternoon at the café is a perfect setting for Louis and Nicolas to argue over philosophy and coffee.
Notes: This chapter is dedicated to the legendary Cesare, one of our all-time fave fanfic writers, who discovered our little AU and has left us wonderful encouraging comments! Among which, that they wanted to see a good dialogue between Louis and Nicki, and we sprung into action to fill the request. We hope that this satisfies like a smooth fancy coffee.
The Signature Blend Vampire Chronicles AU is a delight. Every fandom needs a coffeeshop AU (or many of them!) but I’m not sure how many fandoms are lucky enough to have a coffeeshop AU where the coffee is actually an important factor, and the shop is a huge part of the characterization, and there are breezy romcom elements alongside some of the existential issues of canon.
It’s so fun to see the VC characters skillfully modernized and set in motion. And this bonus chapter gives a lovely compare and contrast of two characters described in the books as “the very twin” of each other in their cynicism, but very different in other ways.
So, I rec this obviously, since I encouraged it and it beautifully fulfills my request.
Also, thanks for the ego boost! Pro tip on becoming legendary: find a fandom that’s been hunted almost to extinction by a lawsuit-happy creator and therefore doesn’t have a ton of fic; write a fairly long id-riddled WIP; leave it hanging unfinished; then wait 18 years. Voila! ^_~

I’ve had soooooo many requests for Armand and Marius sitting in my inbox and finally drew it! The pose is inspired by SEVERAL Gaston Bussière paintings, he is a master of hugs- more specifically his paintings of Elsa and Lohengrin. So tender!
I wanted to do some splendid looking clothing and did not have to stray far for inspiration. @amadeo-child-of-the-renaissance is an AMAZING costume designer this Amadeo was the reference. As for Marius, please admire tico_cosplay and her amazing portrayal. VC is such a small and talented community, I feel so lucky to take part!
This is also a thank you to all of the amazing Armand rpers I’ve had the pleasure of writing with. You’re all so sweet and talented and bring so many fascinating images to life. ❤
Tumblr offered me the chance to meet some pretty amazing writers, artists and VC fans. While reading some of you, I finally decided to set up this RP side blog here and delve deeper into my exploration of Nicolas and so far it’s been an epic ride.
@i-want-my-iwtv has been the first VC blog I found on Tumblr, many moons ago and she encouraged me to get back into the RP saddle. Words are little, few to express the feels I have for the amazing gift you’ve gave me.
here’s to you, my amazing RP companions with whom I write, you’re some of the most talented writers I’ve had the chance to meet and I feel completely honored to be able to create with you these rich universes we explore for our characters!
Sorry for the delay in reply, I was wrapping things up at the old job and starting the new one, wanted to focus on real life for all that.

I don’t think I’ll ever be as active as I once was in my more active times here, I’m not as invested in it as I was, but I’m really pleased to see that other ppl have kept the fandom alive, all this new fanart from IWTV and QOTD being on Netflix and the new book coming out, others have taken up the fanworks supportive torch that I had been carrying, I’m happy to see the fandom active!

But yes, I sometimes enjoy translating VC books into a shōjo manga style in my head while reading them, and there are some scenes I want to draw. I’ll try to do those scenes…someday! lol

//Hey Guys! So, I have never, ever, EVER in my life self-promoted on here, but I’m in a position to need to do so and I figured I would just put out the feelers for asking–no pressure if you can’t afford to help right now!
So, as some of you who know me in real life know, I am a theatre director and artist. I run my own theatre company, InBocca Performance (you can find us on FB, Twitter, IG, and at www.inboccaperformance.com). We have been lucky enough to be chosen to attend and be a part of the Boulder International Fringe Festival this summer (in August). It’s our first time doing a Fringe that isn’t our local one (Cincinnati), and it’s a pretty scary adventure. I’ve done lots of international work, but I’ve never dragged 7 actresses across the country or world, so this is a whole new kettle of fish.
The show is Charlie’s Girls, and it is about the young women of the Manson Family who committed atrocities for Charles Manson, bringing about the end of the summer of love in 1969.
