You don’t need it from him or me but Lestat absolutely blesses you in this pursuit! And so do I. He’s nudging me happily bc he adores Kamijo, and he wants you to GO FOR IT, and you don’t need to ignore race. Lestat is intrigued as to how he might be portrayed/perceived as a different race, but no pressure if you feel like that’s too much of a challenge. Lestat says to Do the Thing, however you choose to do it. Let me know when it’s ready to promote.
There’s a genderbent Lestat, in @queenofthesavagegarden, Lestel goes by they/them pronouns and will interact with other Lestat RPers. My Lestat loves watching Lestel.

Fandom isn’t just escape into a fantasy world. Fandom is letting the fantasy world supplement us, bolster us, give us hope. Fandom is drawing our friends and loved ones as close as we can, even separated by massive distance, we can at least communicate with and support eachother.

Our fandom has been here, underground, for DECADES… and we’ve started finding each other now through this social media platform in the last few years, it’s a gift that keeps on giving ❤
^And then, there’s also the fresh blood (pun very much intended) entering the fandom, which is revitalizing, too.
It’s been on my mind recently, and I just wanted to restate it here: One can spread love about a thing and still critique it, still have a sense of humor about it and even poke fun at it, too.Critiques and less-than-stellar reviews happen even with real people we love, and it doesn’t mean we love them less.
It seems like some people expect this blog to provide unconditional love, blind praise, and refrain from any kind of criticism. NOPE. nope! It’s conditional love, praise given when it is due, and criticism when it’s called for. But these are all only my own opinions on a social media platform, I’m not paid by Anne Rice, not officially affiliated with the Vampire Chronicles, and anyone is free to disagree, it can sometimes lead to extremely stimulating discussions!

[X] My initial reaction is offense, you’re right about that, but I know you meant it in good faith. Perhaps it’s because Armand has suggested it so many times as an insult, and I detest that there’s a connotation that anyone “on pills” or “seeing a shrink” is somehow lesser for doing these things. Who the f&ck decided that wearing glasses to improve one’s vision was acceptable but needing extra chemicals to improve one’s brain functions was somehow an indication of being some kind of, I don’t know, freak of nature?! Oh right, wearing glasses will get you bullied, too *tosses up hands*
Here’s the thing that I maybe failed to convey to you or that some of you chose to misread.
I grew up with neglect and physical abuse on a regular basis. Directly proportional to any time I wanted to strike out and try to find what any child craves – affection, love, support. I had so little of those things. I starved for them. Do you know what it’s like to have to sit at the dinner table and be polite to someone sitting at the head of the table who less than an hour ago beat you to the ground, your face on the cold stone floor, and ridiculed you for crying about it? You’re wearing bruises from it, you have some bandages, you taste your own blood in your mouth from your split lip with each bite of the food that YOU brought home to this person? Trying not to shake or cry. This person who asks you to play chess with him after dinner as if nothing happened?
this is one perfect, powerful, gut wrenching introspection on the character and thank the Gods for Coven Leaders like @i-want-my-iwtv for being here and giving us posts like this one.
…For our third annual Vampire Chronicles Secret Santa exchange!
If you participated last year, or participated in any of the other exchanges we hosted after, you should be familiar with how this works. Think Secret Santa, but with no sharing of physical addresses. The gifts given are all shared completely on Tumblr, be it drabbles, fanart, awesome graphics, or what have you.
