i just realized my first prom dress is soo Lestat. Gold everywhere, sequins, over the top patterns, i can’t believe i never noticed XD

That sounds very #Lestatuesque, share a picture with us if you have any! He does love gold and sequins and over the top patterns and !SPRAKLES! (which, really, is a much better way to spell “sparkles,” n’est pas?).

No one before Bernini had managed to make marble so carnal. In his nimble hands it would flatter and stream, quiver and sweat. His figures weep and shout, their torses twist and run, and arch themselves in spasms of intense sensation. He could, like an alchemist, change one material into another – marble into trees, leaves, hair, and, of course, flesh.

muirin007:

I learned early on about the sanctity of thought. You may be in an abusive environment where you either cannot or will not speak your mind, but you can think whatever you want to think, and no one can hear those thoughts but you. That’s your personality in there. That’s you in there. You may feel small and stifled, tense and silent, but the core of what makes you you is still there. You can’t let it out right now, but you can hear and and feel it. It’s still there and once the environment changes, it will sing aloud again.

You’re safely tucked away inside yourself. Give it time–soon, you’ll be able to stretch your legs again.
