Interview with the Vampire: A deleted Scene!!
So in the original script there was an extended scene when Lestat enters Louis’s bedroom. Before the invitation, Louis threatens Lestat with not only a gun but also a sword.
where are these I wants deleted scenes zomg…
IWTV is one the best vampire movie out there. RT is duummmbbb; I like Daybreakers but not over IWTVIWTV was at 61% and Daybreakers was at 67%, so it wasn’t a huge difference—and IWTV did vastly better with audiences—but yes… I definitely disagree with RT on a lot of things, but they don’t usually mess up that badly.
The Daybreakers concept was intriguing, too. But yeah, c’mon RT, IWTV is a classic, it set a high bar for future vampire films, etc. etc., so idk and idec what the “professional critics” think of it. Just look at those audience numbers.

But you guys omg: Vampire Sam Neill was on my Cinema Wish List! He made a great evil vampire dad.

So this production still of Lestat appears to have been taken at the Pointe du Lac cemetery… why do I care, Idek!! But then, Lestat’s wearing the shirt from the “You. Are. A. KILLER. LOUIS!” scene… at any rate, that setup led to the shot that eventually became part of the film poster.
However, the scene of Claudia and Louis at that bench wasn’t in the film. What I would give for cut scenes…. siiighhh…

The Pointe du Lac ‘tombs’ were part of the set built in Lafayette Cemetery in the Garden District of New Orleans. I suppose the pic of Lestat in the pooffy shirt and the Claudia and Louis in Jackson Square were publicity photos.
Ah, merci for the info!
