OMG THIS IS A GREAT FIND bc ok, I had to dig around looking for vampiry stuff in their blog, and what do I find? They reblogged one of my video parodies yes but more importantly, they are the fanartist behind this:

^This is one of my all-time fave fanarts of Louis bc just look at his expression! Perfectly in character, exasperated but still has the energy to fight. Look how well-drawn he is! I had found this on DA [Louis de Pointe du Lac sketch by SpadeRabbit66] way before I had a tumblr, back when all I had was a personal collection. It was a fave then, too. 

ANYWAY it’s great to find DA ppl on tumblr so that their art can be properly reblogged from them directly instead of just reposting w/ credit, which I’m doing here bc I’m using it as a sample of their work, I’ll reblog from their original post separately, too. We need to convince this artist to draw more VC… *u*

This is not a question, but I need to tell you, this blog gives me life! I love it so much! I was away from tumblr for a long time and all I kept thinking was to get back and look on your blog.

I was away on vacation for almost a week and mostly offline, and I decided I needed to reread TVA in order to properly provide this headcanon. So guess who’s rereading TVA? IT’S ME I AM REREADING IT. I want to see if my impression of him changes this time around, bc my headcanon of him is mostly based on IWTV and TVL.

I’m probably not going to do any major TVA analysis, unless something really strikes me, but I know Armand is a fandom fave, so I want to do my headcanon of him justice. 

Hello there! I think you’d know this, I tried searching on my own but wasn’t succesfull so! I recently read the first three vc books and was thinking of reading prince lestat next, but is that possible? like are there some major plot lines i absolutely have to read from the other books before reading pl? (ofc i’ll read the other books eventually, too) thanks so much!! also your blog is rad

I think you should read #4 before PL. It’s got a lot of David Talbot, who you only know a teeny bit at the end of #3. He’s… different in PL. 

I feel like skipping to PL, you miss other adventures and character development, amusing lines… pages about how beautiful Louis is, lol… I just feel like reading them in order is a richer experience.

At least you have more of an appreciation for the other main characters since you know their background. 

Prince Lestat CAN be considered a stand alone, AR said herself it can be treated like that. It’s just so stand alone that I consider it very Alternate Universe. You’ll see what I mean.

*sigh* It’s so strange that ppl want to rush to PL, but I guess it’s bc it’s the currently newest VC and the upcoming book is a sequel to it.

Also, almost 2 yrs since its release, I still refuse to accept PL as canon. It’s AU to me.

The VC fandom is not so small as everyone thought it was! It was in hiding, and now we’re all coming out, and there’s all this fresh blood bc of the new books and the new movie adaptations and hopefully they will be a lot more true to the canon than movie!QOTD WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE!
