garama:

Hello, all the VC fans! Sorry for being (very) late to the party! I hope your year has started well and that it’ll hold positive surprises for you.

Thank you for supporting me all these years. It always warms my heart to get messages from you. If you can and like, please spread your positive vibes to others as well..! Messages like that can have a huge effect on a person, on their self-esteem, general mood and make them be less afraid to share their interests/love in forms of different media in the future as well.

Take care of yourselves, you Damned children!

Here’s the thing that bugs me about Tumblr fandoms.

People latch onto certain headcanons. These headcanons become popular. Suddenly the fandom starts insisting that said headcanon is actual canom. They become so militant about it that they punish anyone who disagrees with them.

Now, I absolutely love headcanons. By all means, you should rewrite canon. Reinterpret canon. Make the canon more inclusive and more diverse. Question the messages put forth by the canon. You have the freedom to change and critique the canon as you see fit.

But please remember that other people are allowed to have their own interpretations as well. Give everyone the liberty to develop headcanons that appeal to them. And for the love of God, don’t attack people that see things differently than you.

#!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#Please understand the difference between fanon and canon#if the show/creator debunks it- it’s DEBUNKED#it can still be fanon#it can still be an AU#it can still be fun#but its real uncomfortable to see people CLING to stuff claiming the show/creator is wrong#or get mad at people entertaining different ideas/giving credence to the actual canon

“And for the love of God, don’t attack people that see things differently than you.”

Lestat! would you maybe give me some tips on how to make my hair really soft? Forever envious of your locks.

♛Merci, Armand. It is magnificent, isn’t it? It is genetic and unattainable.

*laughs* ok, you’re probably not Armand. I don’t know what your hair type is, and I’m not a specialist in this. My hair is naturally easy to maintain and style. My only rule is to learn how to bleach your hair very carefully or leave it to the professionals, it tends to be harsh on mortal hair. Poor Tough Cookie bleached hers too powerfully and too many times and it all fell out!

Hello there ~ I would like to say that I looove your blog. You are a very positive, funny & open-minded person. Also, I’m the same Nostra that reviewed Signature Blend. Sorry that I didn’t review the last two chapters, I have been busy, but I can tell you now that it was overall a really good read. Loved the fluffly ending <3

Thank u so much! ♥

My goal with this blog has always been to share fanworks and positivity (and the #not VC stuff that slips in if I feel like it serves some relevant purpose) and to make people feel included, if possible.

Fandom is a nebulous thing, but being supportive of fanworks and ideas is a good way to be inclusive. It’s made the whole experience so rich for me, and brought some wonderful ppl into my life, whether I talk to them regularly or just see their comments/tags, see their RP or ideas in my dash, etc  ^_____^

Yes, I remember your encouraging comments on the

collab I did w/ @wicked-felina (Rebness). Thank u for sticking with us throughout, your comments really kept us motivated and fast with the updates *hugs* Comments like yours made it so much more fun than if Rebness and I were writing just for each other, and we definitely want to collab again!

why is kindness seen as a weakness. let me tell you about what it takes to learn how to be soft in a house that never touched you gently. how to relax from a fist into an open palm, how to be unselfish – and worse, the reverse, learning how to treat your opinions and desires as valuable and legitimate – the art of unfolding a thin piece of paper. we are torn up. but we find patches for things. let me tell you about the children i have seen grow up with parents that will never learn to accept who they are; i have seen them get over it not for the sake of the parent but instead for themselves, let me tell you about how they almost broke while they were growing up but instead learned how to grow.

it takes nothing to be cruel. it keeps you hard. it keeps you apart and you won’t care if people hate you. but kindness; the gentle whisper of a person who only knew shouting, the self-taught acceptance from those who never fit in, the sweetness of someone who couldn’t breathe for the house they grew up in – they’re stronger than you.

do you know about the people they save because they see their own injustice repeated and they will not let it win. do you know about the tiny miracles they perform, turning salvation from sin. do you know how much it takes growing up in darkness and learning to let the light in.

Do you have a message for people who suffer with bipolar disorder?

Oh, yes. You can outlast anything. It’s complicated, it’s a job, but it’s doable. One of the greatest things that happened for me was that psychotic episode. Having survived it, I now know the difference between a problem and an inconvenience. Bipolar disorder can be a great teacher. It’s a challenge, but it can set you up to be able to do almost anything else in your life. – Carrie Fisher [x]

We are the music-makers,
And we are the dreamers of dreams,
Wandering by lone sea-breakers,
And sitting by desolate streams.
World-losers and world-forsakers,
Upon whom the pale moon gleams;
Yet we are the movers and shakers,
Of the world forever, it seems.
