(1) Lestat has a Flareon [X] named Louis. He feeds it a lot of Pokémon candy and occasionally uses it to beat Armand’s gyms just so he can rub it in his face.

(2) Armand has a Pokémon named after Lestat; it’s a Magikarp [X].
^This offends Lestat. Lestat is offended. Armand explained it thusly: “Well it’s the only pokemon with a mouth as proportionately large to its body as yours is-”
(1) HC that Armand actually fell in love with his starter, but got frustrated with how low level it was. he went out to look for other of the pokemon, but ended up being to attached to the original that he spent an entire week focusing on just that pokemon in particular and now its super overpowered compared to everything else he has.

(2) Hc that Louis actually really likes caterpie but is embarrassed about it. He thinks they are the cutest thing ever, and they are the main reason he wont let Lestat look at his phone.
Yes definitely! Louis likes several grass and water types, and he loves collecting fanart of them. The whole coven would tease him if they knew about it bc he should only like FIRE types right???

(2) Louis Could Not Care Less; Marius gets annoyed by it,
^Marius is probably annoyed by it bc it creates a lot of stopping in public walkways, and occasionally Old-Man-Shouting-at-Cloud Marius a little bit agrees w/ the “It’s terrible, the kids these days staring at their cellphones!” argument. #headcanon accepted.
(3) Lestat takes ENDLESS selfies of himself with various Pokemon, and for the first month or two, cheats by using vampire abilities to run to all the pokestops and be master of multiple gyms.
^OH THAT SNEAKY BASTARD. But I think he’d let the younger kids beat him in battles, and act all dramatic about it. “How could you do this so easily?? I am crushed! I will cry myself to sleep tonight!”
(4) Daniel occasionally forgets how unhuman he looks and accidentally scares kids sometimes. And adults.

Can someone make Garrett Borns a vampire? Please? He’s so beautiful, and has the voice of an angel. I think he’d make a gorgeous Louis.

Also, as a side note, he’s 24 yrs old in 2016, so we’d have an actor playing really close to the canon age of the character!!! which is always good, bc he’s actually living that point in his life now, might be a little more authentic than reflecting back on it.
So he’s a singer and a model, and I looked up a few vids and couldn’t choose just one as an example. You can do the youtube and check him out there, but here’s a few things I had thoughts on:
[X] ^LOOKIT THIS SMILE. He has dimples which I think is a huge plus. Louis is, in fact, capable of smiling. I imagine Lestat made him wear the shades bc of reasons.
Lestat: “Oh, big Beatles fan? You like John Lennon so very much? Why don’t you wear shades like his, here- ”
Louis: “Those are more ELTON John than John Lennon, Lestat.”
Lestat: “Put them on or I’ll put them on for you.”
^His little smile, in this dreamy lighting, he’s got that ethereal quality we require in a Louis.
^”Oh god Lestat, what fresh hell have you caused?” He’s got the right build, too, that muscular but spare body.

-adoration for things that evoke strong mental reactions (gorgeous cityscapes, powerful pics of nature, luxuary fashion that emulates previous eras…)
-insane levels of attention to detail in works of art.
-unearthly outer beauty and genius-level intellect along with being artistically talented beyond belief.
Definitely a vampire.

casting#lee soo hyuk#arjun (via @ i-want-my-iwtv ) I know Nikki was French, and very little of Asia/Russia was interacting with France in the time when Nikki’s family would have been established, so odds of him looking like this are slim to say the least, but look at that face and tell me that wise-sad expression isn’t Nikki.
It is very hard to disagree with such a compelling argument… I’d screentest him! I would bet that many narrow-minded ppl would strenuously object, but I’ve resigned myself to the fact that there is no pleasing EVERYONE. I’d rather have a great actor than someone who just “looked” right, but that’s just my own preference. But then again, there are some actors who are too far from my headcanon for me to be very supportive of them so I’m a little bit of a hypocrite on that, I admit it… I declare: “Don’t be so judgmental/superficial!” 1 second later: *acts judgmental/superficial*

So I’m re-reading the Vampire Chronicles, and discovering all over again that I love the way Anne Rice depicts sexuality, attraction, and affection in her books, not just among vampires, but among humans as well.
People in platonic relationships never hesitate to say that they love each other, to show affection, to kiss.
Sexual orientation doesn’t seem to exist, really, especially with the undead. It seems that a century or two of immortality has rendered most of them indifferent in regards to gender.
I love the repeated narrative of “I hate you, but I haven’t seen you in a really long time, and I missed hating you in person, so come here and let me hug you and tell you how beautiful you are.” There is something very poignant in the way that they treasure the familiar.
Consent is super important in sexual situations in her books, and in simple social situations, and in regards to the giving and receiving of blood.
It’s recognized that people who have been made vampires without their consent are victims of trauma, even if they are men.
And just the expression of emotions in her characters, the men, the women, mortal and immortal love, hate, scream, laugh, openly weep without shame…you don’t see much of that in modern literature without idiots labeling it as “over sentimental.”
