I got my copy at Powell’s City of Books in Portland, Oregon, and I deeply regret not ALSO buying a slim hardcover VC book there that profiled VC fans and was published in the 90′s! Argh. I don’t even remember what it was called. I didn’t imagine it though!! It was REAL. I should beg a certain Portlandian to go for me and see if it’s still there… *cough* you know who you are *cough*
HOWEVER, I see the Vampire Companion on Amazon often, I bet it’s on eBay… and it’s in library book sales, but not as often. I think this is a recently printed edition w/ a new cover but not updated info:

Lestat was born in 1760. Not sure where you got 1780… I believe you are forgetting the almost 10 yrs Lestat and Gabrielle ~wandered the Devil’s Road~ together, which was from 1780-89. There’s a timeline in the official Vampire Companion (there is some debate about discrepancies of this book to canon, but this book was intended to be the author’s deciding word on canon facts):

Worth noting also: AR underscores that Lestat was 20 when he was turned.*
So by 1791, Lestat is actually like 31 mortal years old, and Louis is in fact younger than he is, at 25 (why they made him 24 in the movie is beyond me bc it’s only a year different? IDK).
*Re: Lestat being turned at 20 or 21, that’s a topic that’s been debated for aaaaages, too, since he says in his book, “In the winter of my twenty-first year, I went out alone on horseback to kill a pack of wolves” and more confusingly, in the timeline above, AR indicates that Lestat is 19 when he goes to Paris w/ Nicolas so I am confusion, but taking Lestat’s line from TVL alone, that it’s his “twenty-first year”:

Fave type of witch? Um, are they all clearly defined into categories? I like all of them! All the witches! Fictional and real. In retrospect, I like Merrick Mayfair more and more, but I still wish that book had been written from her POV and that it would have included more actual witchcraft, but oh well, that’s what fanworks are for.

If I was going to be a witch myself, I would want to be a modern witch bc easier access to supplies and community, and I’d wear really loose comfy dresses, and crystal jewelry that all had functional purposes… I’d have some good vintage equipment like a knife with fancy filigree, good durable ankle boots.
AHS: 1st or 2nd season, I used to look forward to and watch episodes with a skype group and chat w/ ppl during the eps, but when that group stopped doing that I sorta lost interest in the series altogether.
I’ve seen bits of AHS since then, but not the coven season, which I should bc it takes place in NOLA. Those witches look like BAMFs for sure. I’ll give it another try, bc we got that great Surprise B*tch line from it 😉

Of both, it would be Nicolas. Not being what he needed. Not really understanding him. I could have. Should have done more… I should’ve told him what I was from the beginning, when it happened, I should have had those conversations that would have hurt, but would have been less than the hurt I caused him. I’ll always remember him and regret the way that went. If not for this, the later regrets might not have ever happened. And yet, if not for this, the later joys might not have happened, either. We make hard choices. It is what it is.
