Armand, u can lick the blood off Lestat’s hand if u want… :]
Y’know I don’t know exactly what was going on but she was in some kind of fabulous ecstasy to not try to stop him notice him basically biting her tongue and sucking on it… Supposedly Louis can Spellbind ppl w/o consciously trying, this is one of his Gifts.

…but also Lestat is doing most of the “work” for him in this scene, she’s probably reacting to that more.
I don’t think there are any major arteries in the mouth that he could have hit, so it’s just, IDK, tongue blood. And he is spilling some. Seems like alot of effort and not much dinner for him. When we see her mouth again, her lips look a little bloody but not damaged, so he was either biting her tongue or the inside of her mouth somewheres. #kinda ew
^So it’s not exactly like this for Ricean vampires, but it’s hilarious (but GROSS) so WATCH IT (if you can handle the gross). For these and the
Ricean vampires, eating people food is bad, but not lethal.
Ricean vampires lose alot of digestive anatomy when they’re turned. So their bodies just can’t metabolize it. Cooking smells are repulsive to them, as Louis describes it in IWTV:
“The slightly nauseating smell of cooking meat… I caught the sweet smell of the spices and the fresh green of marjoram and bay; and then in a wave came the horrid smell of the cooking meat, the blood and flesh decaying in the boiling fluids.“
So if they were to try a bite of a plate of food, it might be like trying to force yourself to eat something inedible, like an old soapy sponge.
I would guess that eating a whole plateful would just make them throw it back up, no enjoyment in or out 😛
Not sure about other vampires, like The Vampire Diaries, Tru Blood, 30 Days of Night, Daybreakers, etc.
I seem to recall the Lost Boys eating Chinese food? I don’t remember. Try askavampirologist for non-Ricean vampires!

and added:
ooc; I don’t believe she’s ever stated they watched HoW. She did mention True Blood though.
One of my fav things as a fan of both VC and Hell on Wheels is that Anson Mount (actor behind Cullen Bohannon) is also a fan of VC. Which, btw, everyone should watch Hell on Wheels because it’s such a great series.
Okay so I did a little digging and I found that merciful-death was right, AR mentioned that they all watched Tru Blood in this post here:

“You would not believe the laughter in this house when vampires come to watch True Blood on HBO. They think it’s hilarious.”
I feel like I’ve seen fanart of them all squished onto a couch together for tv/movie night, but I can’t find it ;A; If anyone has this fanart – or wants to draw it – please gimme.
I reblog a ton of it! When it came out in 2013, OLLA was the closest to the high quality of vampire movie we as a fandom have deserved. Look at these beautiful realistic modern vampires:

Of course the vampire physiology for them is fairly different from the Ricean species in a few very specific ways which I won’t spoil for you (except to mention that I doubt VC vampires would be at all interested in blood popsicles, even tho vampire!me WOULD BE).
ALSO SEE WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS (which I hear is available for a limited time as a 30-day rental on iTunes for $0.99??) because that is the more humorous way of achieving the high quality of vampire movie we as a fandom have deserved!

☤:the last time my muse went to the hospital and why
First of all, I would never drink blood from a blood bag. It is not fresh. That, my friends, no matter how the hospitals may spin it for you mortals, is dead blood. And I’m not drinking dead blood. Not on your goddamn life. I’ve done it once or twice in my immortality–and that was one or two times far too many.
You need to understand that dead blood… It’s like if someone gave you rotten vegetables, I suppose, or meat that has almost turned. Sure, you can find a way to eat it, and sure, you probably won’t die–you may get a stomach ache, or feel nauseous–and sure, it will keep you alive. But it isn’t going to be a pleasant experience.
But the last time I was at the hospital?
Last Tuesday, actually. The young woman who lives down the block from us collapsed on her bike outside at approx. 3am–since we were sitting on the balcony, we heard and saw it happen. Taking her there myself was far faster than calling the paramedics, so that was what I did.
If you feel the urge to call me ‘hero,’ I won’t object.
