Burnadette is a slight variation of Bernadette, French name meaning “Brave as a bear.” I changed it to get the fire reference ;] So Louis’ sister would have spelled it the normal way.
… I won’t deny it looks good. “Bernadette, Louis, and Paul” sound like they could be siblings 😀 BTW, that’s the Jane Austen font from DaFont.
But I wouldn’t want anyone to feel left out in the sense that I’m *special* or anything, I’m glad that some names were left out of canon, so anyone can project their own names onto those characters.

[BTW: It’s “Mater Fabuloso,” a name someone suggested for me ages ago on here, and it’s bc “Mater” means “Mother” in Latin. We used to refer to AR as “Mater Gloriousa,” “Our Glorious Mother.” So it’s related to that.]
The name is also featured in this song, which is very upbeat but if you listen to the lyrics closely the singer is basically a guy who has to have ALL OF this poor lady bc apparently she’s already so much a part of him that he needs her more than just out of love, and smacks down the competition as unworthy. It’s pretty obsessive.
I liked it when I was a kid, so it has a nostalgic feel for me, and at that time, I just thought it was a guy who couldn’t help but express himself as to how madly in love he was. Obsession and madly in love, unhealthy relationships… very VC.

We’ve had a few people notify us that their gifts will be sent late. If you’re running behind, please let us know. It just better helps us work out if we should have someone else fill in for you. This time of year is stressful and busy for everyone, so we definitely understand. And it’s no big deal if you’re a few days late, though if you can have your gifts to us sometime today, that would be super.
This exchange has been stellar. The mods have brainstormed a few ways to make future exchanges even better. These events are a constant learning experience for us, especially as participation grows. As we did last year, I’m thinking we will do a Secret Valentine in February, as our mini-exchange following this one.
I would like to give a big shout out to @i-want-my-iwtv, who has been such a phenomenal moderator for this event. I (merciful-death) have had a lot more on my plate this year than I did last year, so her help has been so much appreciated. There’s a lot that goes on to make these exchanges a success, and I could not have done it without her.
I hope that everyone who celebrates it has a Merry Christmas, that y’all who celebrates other holidays have had a great holiday season, and that the New Year will be awesome for everyone. The VC fandom is full of many wonderfully gifted and kind people.

Hey, here’s something that might just amused you. So there’s this website and (not sure if you have heard of it) it’s called morph thing and you can take two pictures of anyone and morph it together to see what they would look like as one person. You can also morph their faces together to see what their child would look like. You can even morph any gender with another. Give it a try and I hope you enjoy morphing the VC vampires together.

Deacon batting at the computer screen trying to catch the mouse cursor when Stu was demonstrating a computer made me realise that the vampires are basically cats. Enemies to dogs/werewolves, stringent but confusing standards of hygiene and grooming, primarily nocturnal, thrive off human blood, etc – would chasing a laser pointer be that unlikely?

Every time I see people like “cats are evil and will never love you” I’m like bro cats are adorable losers, they rub against you and head butt into your hand when you pet them and they make a dumb vibrating noise when they’re happy and chase after moving lights and shoelaces and tuck their feet under their bodies to become a fucking cat loaf cats are great ok.
I was going to listen to the IWTV soundtrack while in the shower, and had it playing on my computer which was on the counter, and as I began to undress I just saw that one piercing eye staring at me and was just like “nope, you’re not going to watch me shower,” and I quickly turned the computer around.
