@takemetocoffin-or-losemeforever made this, and IT IS A PERFECT SCREENCAP&TEXTMEME COMBO BC:

– Look at Claudia’s face. She looks like she JUST told them. It had to be said.

– Louis is all *shitshitshit how can i answer her without lying… “I’m only gay for Lestat…” No, that sounds weird… “We’re only gay sometimes…. like for 20 minutes at a time…” No, sometimes it lasts longer… so conflicted… If I wait long enough maybe Lestat will have a better answer.

– Lestat is just standing there growling, not sure if he should be offended or impressed that she figured it out despite his efforts to keep certain things behind closed doors. If I wait long enough maybe Louis will have a better answer.

Lestat Sketch by Muirin007

Sketch this, sketch that…Gosh, me, finish something, why don’t you?

This was a quickie done of Lestat from everyone’s favorite part of that movie. 🙂 I really need to rework this one, but I still want to fix it up and post a finished version.

“I assume I need no introduction.”

This is how you fanart.  It doesn’t even need to be colored in. Such a well-captured expression.

@muirin007 this is still awesome. Reblogging this post from 2 yrs ago.

“Whoever he was – and of
course I knew who he had to be – he did not give a damn that I was there! He
had not even stopped to take a breath… It was Armand, of course. Yet I was hardly prepared for the
sight he presented here.

“Candle wax dripped
down the marble bust of Caesar, flowed over the brightly painted countries of
the world globe. And the books, they lay in mountains on the carpet, save for
those of the very last shelf in the corner when he stood, in his old rags
still, hair full of dust, ignoring me as he ran his hand over page after page,
his eyes intent on the words before him, his lips half open, his expression
like that of an insect in its concentration as it chews through a leaf.
Perfectly horrible he looked, actually. He was sucking everything out of the
books! …

But his manner wasn’t
the entire horror. It was the havoc he was leaving behind him, the utter disregard
of everything he used. And his utter disregard of me.

“…His auburn hair shimmered despite the dirt in it; his eyes
burned like two lights. Grotesque he seemed, among all the candles and the swimming
colors of the flat, this filthy waif of the netherworld, and yet his beauty
held sway. He hadn’t needed the shadows of Notre Dame or the torchlight of the
crypt to flatter him. And there was a fierceness in him in this bright light
that I hadn’t seen before.”

mannimations:

Just love this SO MUCH. By Florbe91.deviantart.com. From Tale of the Body Thief, by Anne Rice (DUH, do I post anything ELSE EVER??!!)

Do you think Louis would/could have refused Lestat forever?

This particular fanart is one of my absolute all-time favorites. The expression florbe achieves here is so strong, the staging of the frames, the subtlety of the colors is perfection, the whole thing tears at your heartstrings almost more than the scene in the book does! I’d love to buy a whole graphic novel in this style ❤

So I had posted this a million (three) years ago, back before this blog was this blog, back when it was “mannimations,” and that was before I knew how to link things in a nice way, but more relevant than belitting my former lack of etiquette is that at that time, this image was hosted on florbe91’s deviantart page.

Since then, she has taken it down, and many other of her VC fanarts, for her own reasons. There are a few still there if you look for them, a fraction of what had been posted. She took the rest down for her own reasons, none of which were bc of AR.

The primary reason I’m writing this now and reblogging smtg that she took down, against my own policy, is to let you know why I try not to reblog her VC fanart* when I see it on my dash currently. As much as I absolutely adore it, I respect her choice not to share it.

Secondly, when you see fanart that you adore, download it! Keep it for your own private records. Artists can remove things at any time, and there may not be any warning. I’m an artist, and I have removed posts from here.

*The exception to my rule is if the fanart in question is publicly available (at the time of reblogging) on her deviantart or tumblr, in which case it seems to be okay to share, or in this case where I’m making a general note.
