The Dark Gift does work wonders on people of a certain age, ma petite fleur. Mother Gabrielle was quite physically improved in at least one area that I devoted no small amount of description to… in color and shape and size, her “girls” improved! I have to say that this one character in canon had bothered me for the longest time, just for the fact that he was never mentioned after IWTV until PL.
I used to assume he was either A) such an embarrassment to Lestat or B) that they had broken up so violently that Lestat couldn’t bear to even mention his name again.
It’s interesting to have him recognized and brought into the fold at this point. We’ll see what happens!
