♛Lestat
let out a little moan as Louis’ hot mouth pulled and suckled on the
wound he’d made. He swam in the light-headed feeling of life being drawn out. The skillful hand worked at Lestat tantalizingly as he writhed his own shirt off, tossing it aside. How
does he know precisely how to silence me so quickly?
”I
would, however, be willing to listen to your suggestions.”
Suggestions?
Lestat
was done with teasing, done with talk, done with thoughts, it was
time to give Louis exactly what he needed.
He
occupied Louis with imploring kisses, cutting his tongue on their
fangs more than once, as he raked his nails through Louis’ hair.
Invisible fingers tore Louis’ jeans open, pulled them down and away
so sharply that Louis nearly lost his balance, hands grasping at
Lestat to steady himself.
Barrier
gone, Lestat admired the happy trail of soft down. Oh yes, Louis was
urgent, Louis was beautiful in every part… and then Lestat was
kneeling before him, hands sliding down the torso, the taut flat belly. He
lapped at the cock, cat-like, then stroked it with fingertips and the
flat of his tongue on the underside, relishing the weight and length
of it. A work of art to be savored and tormented into performance.
Would
it be so awful to be caught by one of the partygoers in worship of
this magnificent beauty?

Well.
What a journey. I have finally finished Prince Lestat and I am pleasantly surprised. Fully intending to hate every moment of it, I have to say, it was a heck of a lot better than I was expecting.
Lestat was his true self on so many occasions which made me incredibly happy. Granted, there were many times when he was not and that did irritate me but the moments where he was himself were a real delight. There were parts that definitely could have been better, but I was quietly surprised by how emotional I became at times.
Very well-put! I totally agree, and that’s why I can’t simply toss the whole book out for its ooc moments/plot/etc.. There were some gems in there for sure, and I like following the fanworks, RP, discussion, etc., it continues to generate.

[Read More is spoilery]
The loss of Maharet and Khayman hit me hard and in fact I almost stopped reading altogether at that point. (thanks to antoineandthepiano for encouraging me to continue!) I will freely admit that I cried at that unexpected loss and though I am not exactly sure yet how I am going to treat this. I am interested in roleplaying the events of Prince Lestat and after, so I am going to have to decide on this. If anyone would like to come and speak with me about it, that would be wonderful!
And I have to speak on the final chapter; Louis’ chapter. I loved this part and, despite the frustration I often experience with Anne’s writing, I really thought this was a master stroke. It was the perfect way to end this book and it left me so pleased, knowing that he was finally happy in himself.
So, with that done, I am now very keen to roleplay anything and everything from these books and rather excited for the coming release of the next one in the series. I can only hope that it is as good as this one has been.
I hate him only because I cannot imagine my soul without him.

Vampire Dad jokes :[
Has this joke been done before? I feel like this joke has been done before…

Someone tried to rant about how terrible they thought Tom Cruise was as Lestat.
MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY
*pounces foot before running away* ” Let the war begin!”
♛ *Eyes his attacker from across the room* “Evening, sugarpie. Is kittykins looking for a little ride in the air tonight?” *relaxes body more, tossing an arm over the back of the couch* “Iron Man’s on. You’ll have to do better than that.” *smirks, raises volume on the TV*

The Tale of the Body Thief – LOL
Ooc; one of my favourite parts in the The Tale of the Body Thief is when Lestat burns Loius’ little shack down. He gathered priceless art so they won’t burn and uses Louis’ own candles to burn down the place while uttering:
“Oh, you deserve this, you treacherous ungrateful bastard!”
Followed by:
“Louis, I wish I could burn you! I’d do it! Oh, if only I knew where you lie by day!”
Lestat and Louis use fire to get back at each other. It must be love!

♛ That was a particularly dark moment for us. I still bear a scar – albeit figurative – for that scathing betrayal, even as I’ve come to understand the logic of his decision at the time, but giving him a taste of his own kerosene certainly helped.
