Omg! Hi vcpositivity !

Thanks for the follow! Love reading fandom ppl loving on each other.

Even though I’m totally unknown in the VC fandom, I’ve followed it and lurked around off and on since 2001 when I was just an 8th grader.

These books and characters are a huge part of my life!

Hey there! That’s a really long time to lurk around! We here don’t like to see people feeling like their on the outskirts of the fandom-we want everyone to feel welcome and like they’re a part of our community; so if you’d like, there are tons of great people that the admins here look up to who would be willing to make you feel more welcome, and maybe get your name a bit more out there!

I personally know that i-want-my-iwtv, cloudsinvenice, and annabellioncourt are more than welcoming and would love talking to you and anyone else who wants to get more involved with the fandom. Also, you can talk to merciful-death and see about being added to her all-inclusive skype group to meet some great people.

And of course, an amazing way to feel closer to the characters and other people of the fandom is to send in asks to any of the great roleplay blogs floating around. Not only can you ask them about personal headcanons, but some blogs will actually give you a chance to talk to the characters themselves.

(This turned out waaaay longer than I had initially planned, and I definitely don’t want you to feel like I’m pressuring you into participating more if you don’t want to. It’s absolutely okay if you’re most comfortable lurking about. We just want to make sure everyone knows there are many open doors for those who want to feel closer to the action!)

^Could not have said this better myself.

♘ :How you prefer to kill someone

cdf-archive-deactivated20171025:

Merci, ma fleur.

Killing isn’t always enjoyable, you understand. It depends on who I’m dealing with. If it’s someone younger and already in a rather large amount of pain, I’m putting them out of their misery. I make it fast and quick. Minimal pain.

However, for the older ones that have done something unspeakable, I like to make their death last a little longer. Maximum suffering.

I love your blog! I was just wondering, what tips would you give someone who is just starting a yaoi side blog.

readingyaoi:

hi! and thanks so much! 😀 hmm let me see;
1. be nice to your followers.
2. try to keep you blog’s content original.
3. make friends with other yaoi blogs, most of them are really lovely people.
4. keep your theme clean. personally if i can’t find the “next” button in the first ten seconds i could be annoyed enough to not follow.
5. keep calm. keep calm always. even if you get hate mail. laugh and move on.
6. tag text. i like talking in the tags as the next man. and most people like to read them. i always do.
7. be sincere when answering asks and try to answer them all.
8. do not make the mistake i did and write an actual informative description.
9. make a faq
10. always tag your posts
11. as a yaoi blog you’ll most likely to gain followers fast. don’t let that get to you and keep your feed on the ground.
12. do not post shota becuase if people report you, you may even lose your blog.
13. do not repost. ever.
14. be nice to your followers.
15. be nice to your followers.
i hope these help 😀

wombatkittenkisser, it’s subjective. As LIFE ITSELF is subjective! There are high points that reach towards the very sun and low points that go right down to repeated bloody-lego-stepping-self-mutilation. “Goodness” lies in how you react to it.

It’s an awful truth that suffering can deepen us, give a greater luster to our colors, a richer resonance to our words. That is, if it doesn’t destroy us, if it doesn’t burn away the optimism and the spirit, the capacity for visions, and the respect for simple yet indispensable things.

So I reblogged this before, but I actually wanted to stop and saying something, which is this:

Everyone who writes has felt that moment of “EVERYTHING HAS BEEN DONE BEFORE I’M A FAKE I’M A FAILURE I’M WORTHLESS,” and it’s always been over a moment like this one.  That moment where you realize your idea has been done before.  But here’s the thing.  Ideas aren’t worthless, but they’re the pennies of your novel.  They’re the smallest component.

Execution, on the other hand…that’s what does everything.  That’s your dollar bills, stuffed into the jar until you have enough to go on the biggest adventure of your life.

So write your story where the mermaid falls in love with the boy who lives on land.  Write him becoming a merman for her, or write him as a her, or write your sea witch as the heroine, or write your mermaid as a villain.  Write a world.  The idea, that’s a penny you found in the street.  All the real value is going to come from you.

This, this, this. 🙂

THIS. Execution is key.

Also

Novels have been around for more then three centuries, maybe even more.

Do you think your idea hasn’t been thought up before?

No idea is original on this earth, no matter how creative it can be, one other has probably thought of the same thing in their life time.

In turn, what does it matter if its “not creative?” Fuck em’. Write what you want to write, you’re not a failure, you’re a visionary, and you know what the difference if between you and the ones who also dared to dream of the same things you dreamt?

You have the will and the determination to put it out there.
