In ‘Tale of the Body Thief’, Mojo goes to lick Lestat’s face and (I think) he had blood tears on his cheeks. Lestat gently pushed Mojo back and tells him he must never, never taste the blood—something similar to that, anyway.

Yes, I do remember that scene, but Lestat doesn’t make any comments in canon at that time about turning him. 

I always read that moment as Mojo licking his face like he would for a normal crying human, that Mojo ignored the taste, that he did it purely to comfort his big awkward bipedal yellow puppy son ❤

This is 100% unofficial and purely from my heart-
But for my younger sibling’s birthday I made @louis-the-beautiful-one some coloring pages featuring their favorites from the Vampire Chronicles series! 

We’ve got Louis, Claudia, and Lestat in a family portrait, Armand standing about with the curtains of his stage, and Marius looking so miffed at his quill.

I’d really like to do a couple more, and maybe I will with some of my favorites (NICKI… DAVID… GABRIELLE) but that’s for a later time. I love being the older sibling without a $$$ job so I’m always drawing things. HAHA

(Lestat loves the excuse of having Louis cling to him for dear life, and even though Louis finds the experience very disorienting and cold!, they both love the gorgeous view of the landscapes <3)
