Did you know…?

I don’t now if someone else made this before o see it. But about the redeemable things   — and I think that the only one— of the movie “The Queen of The Damned”, was his soundtrack and the videos that they made for it.

Among them we could find the song “Forsaken”, interpreted in the album by David Draiman from the band Disturbed and in the movie by Jonathan Davis from the band Korn.

Who was filmed based on the silent film “The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari” of the year 1920.

Considered the first expressionist film in history and one of the most influential German expressionist films.

Basically tells the story of Dr. Caligari and the sleepwalker Cesare, who are involved in a series of murders in a German mountain village.

You could read more information about the movie in the link below.

And here is the comparison with the video “Forsaken”, in which Stuart Townsend in his interpretation of a brunette Vampire Lestat, made the character of “Cesare” in the music video.

And i-want-my-iwtv there is the comparison 🙂

To the makers of that film:

ooc; I don’t believe she’s ever stated they watched HoW. She did mention True Blood though.

One of my fav things as a fan of both VC and Hell on Wheels is that Anson Mount (actor behind Cullen Bohannon) is also a fan of VC. Which, btw, everyone should watch Hell on Wheels because it’s such a great series.

Okay so I did a little digging and I found that merciful-death was right, AR mentioned that they all watched Tru Blood in this post here:

“You would not believe the laughter in this house when vampires come to watch True Blood on HBO. They think it’s hilarious.”

I feel like I’ve seen fanart of them all squished onto a couch together for tv/movie night, but I can’t find it ;A; If anyone has this fanart – or wants to draw it – please gimme.

UPDATE: FOUND IT.

THIS IS THE MOST LESTAT THING THAT HE HAS DONE SINCE HE ACTUALLY PLAYED LESTAT ONCE UPON A TIME. THIS IS MORE LESTAT THAN ANYTHING THAT LESTAT DID IN THE MOVIE.

Marius, what is one of the best gifts anyone has ever given you? Aside from the Dark one, obviously ;]

the-arbiter-elegantiarum:

Ah, my friend, what an alluring question! And not an easy one, I must admit.

Forget the material possessions, such a fleeting matters are not worth mentioning. Let’s ponder of the qualities of “the best gif” for a bit, shall we?

It would have to be something priceless, something not easily given, something one would treasure, something one truly needs.

It is not easy to pick one gift and not offend those whose gifts will be omitted. But what I believe was the greatest gift I ever received was Bianca’s sacrifice. Her willful devotion to me, in my darkest hour, her selfless love and care. That, my friend, shall be the gift I name as the best.

I was watching IWTV (for the second time today) and I thought at the scene in the Taverne du Chat Noir, at the beginning, was Lestat influencing that guy’s mind to not kill Louis? Do you have thoughts on this?

Quite possibly!

Lestat’s Mind Gift at that time was more for when he was directly interacting with the person, but  in TVL he could call a horse to him from a distance with it.

I don’t know if Lestat’s Mind Gift was ever as fine-tuned as Armand’s, tho, in the sense of bending someone’s will as far as Armand could bend it. Armand used his Mind Gift to manipulate Louis into making a vampire, which was the last thing Louis ever wanted to do!

was armand the one with the thing for ragtime, or lestat?

wha-? Is that canon or fanon? Lol!

Omg, listening to it now, it’s so cliche! pfffft. Lestat would love it.

It reminds me of this terrible and hilarious mashup, War of the Worlds set to the Benny Hill theme music. Watch if you DARE.

It’s Armand and it’s actually canon and one of my favorite parts to visualize in QotD (although it’s honky-tonk not ragtime, but their styles are related)
I mean, just imagine Daniel waking up to that, looking completely DONE.

DORA IS HALF THE REASON THAT WE DON’T TALK ABOUT MEMNOCH

[VC – Memnoch Shenanigans by Eeba-ism]

WHAT DID U EXPECT, A VISUAL OF LESTAT AND DORA UNDER THE CUT? Ew no.

So I don’t deny that it was gross and bizarre but I think of this scene – at certain monthly intervals – and consider it from her perspective. She seemed to like it. He seemed to like it. It went from dubcon to consensual in about 3 seconds… and she seemed empty afterwards?? He actually might have saved her a few $ on feminine products?? SUCH A GENTLEMAN.
