[X] Not that I tried to read it ok i cracked the spine and skimmed it a bit but that was the best I could do for the initial exposure, but Anne Rice has a werewolf series going now. It made that Wiki list above.
you know those people who are just luminous, like they’re so beautiful and everything they do is endearing and all you can do is stare and hope that some of their light hits you someday. maybe it’s not even romantic but they’re just such people, they’re humans, and they’re so beautiful that you cannot make yourself look away
@nixiey sent:Are you familiar with Kim Harrison’s books and Vampires? (She focuses on several species of mythological beings but has a unique twist of Vampirism)
Any way, was asking cause in later books they mention that in that universe Vampires could hear things that other species couldn’t and a lot of popular bands would add a “vampire track” into their recordings to give their music an extra dimension, and thought that’d be a concept that might be appealing to you and would be really cool AU where Lestat did the same thing.
…And I’d recommend her series highly, it only recently was wrapped up but her Vampires are pretty interesting if you have time to read it.
Hey Nixiey, thanks for this! I am not familiar w/ KH and I think that’s pretty brilliant in a very subtle and preternatural way. It is in VC canon somewhat, with messages directed to vampires (and not audible to mortals) over the radio in PL, but I don’t think AR specifically addressed it in QOTD, when Lestat’s rock music was being played on the radio.
I think it would be fun to consider what messages he might have embedded into the tracks, what would Lestat want to tell the other vampires out there? What would be his message to the ones he knew? Remember that he hadn’t reunited with any of them until the night before his concert…
