Truth: Did you like the Tom Cruise version of Lestat?

merciful-death:

TRUTH SERUM – My muse has to answer any and all questions regardless of what it is.

He captured Lestat’s exuberance well, although I hardly consider myself fully knowledgeable on the film. I have only watched it all the way through once, and that was when it was released in theatres twenty years ago.  I would not have viewed it at all if not for Lestat’s insistence on seeing the “greatest comedy of the year.”

I must admit, it was amusing that Lestat’s actor was shorter than the one who portrayed me.

Happy birthday, Merciful-Death!

Note: this is not for Louis’ actual birthday (which is 10/4), it’s for merciful-death’s birthday today, a fabulous Louis RPer!

“Come home with me,” he said. Such a human voice. So kind. “There’s time to come here and reflect. Wouldn’t you rather be home, in the Quarter, amongst our things?”

If anything in the world could have truly comforted me, he would have been the thing—with just the beguiling tilt of his narrow head or the way that he kept looking at me, protecting me obviously with a confidential calm from what he must have feared for me, and for him, and perhaps for all of us.

My old familiar gentleman friend, my tender enduring pupil, educated as truly by Victorian ways of courtesy as ever by me in the ways of being a monster.

Santiago: Why would you want to do that
Lestat: I WANTED TO SEE IF I COULDDDDD

cloudsinvenice added: As long as he’s doing toddler stuff, I guess it’s really lucky his hair grows back overnight, for when he decides to cut it himself. 😛

Lestat is a toddler on most nights.
