This has been on my dash so many times and I want to know where this is from.
I weirdly love that there are crotchety fandom elders around who say shit like “in my day, (insert fandom term) meant this specifically, but now you kids just use it to mean any old thing.”
It seriously gives fandom such a sense of heritage and family, like yes grandma, tell me more about how you had to write fic uphill both ways in the snow when you were my age.
so it’s 2016 when tf are we getting some VC adaptations, why are we the only fandom we dont get any tv shows or movies thats crazy shit right there

But actually I would rather wait patiently than rush anyone in charge and possibly get a worse adaptation than QOTD.
Technically, I think the most recent VC adaptation we got was Claudia’s Story, (2012) by Ashley Marie Witter (deviantart here), which was gorgeously illustrated and very well-written. It’s IWTV from Claudia’s POV. I got myself a copy. 10/10 Highly recommend.

if talking to/dealing with/dating/getting to know a person isn’t like that, it’s probably a waste of time
YES. Lovelies, do not, do not, do not spend time with people who don’t make you feel good. I don’t mean they kiss your ass. I mean, you shouldn’t come away from interactions feeling tired, or less-than, or boring, or embarrassing. Relationships are food for your soul, not a drain on it.
