Early steps in the fashion design process for production after a collection of influences had been found.
The first image shows design explorations within the same shape languages as the references, as well as open ideas for diversity. Not thinking too much about how it could be applied to the human figure.
Second image is an accumilation of first design ideas on a model with a focus on outer shapes /silhouette of the piece while sticking to the parameters.
Next step will be to narrow down the aspects that work well and are aesthetically pleasing to the recipient. I searched for more haute couture and will likely draw more inspiration from designers like Gareth Pugh, Haider Ackermann, Alessandra Marchi, Irina Chervenkova, Arzu Kaprol and Fendi.
Also… colour choices are to be made.

12. Describe 5 unusual characteristics your muse has:
I’d say my eyes are first….a winter grey, yet often mistaken or considered blue, violet. They absorb the hues easily and they are eerily bright. More predatory than human, they also glow red in the flash of a camera or under infrared light. It’s why I wear shades.
Secondly, my hands and nails….they’re decidedly feminine and each finger is tipped with a glassy razor that is harder and brighter than a diamond. Even if I smudge them with ashes, they are difficult not to notice.
Thirdly, my teeth….the fangs are perfection but some of my teeth are a bit crooked. Unfortunately, dental care wasn’t the same in my mortal youth and orthodontics weren’t available to me. I also have a bit of a crooked smile.
Fourth, no matter how much I attempt it, I cannot seem to completely obliterate my accent unless I am acting or replacing it with received pronunciation. It’s the oddest thing…..
Fifth, I write with ellipses. Personal trademark.
15. Can they multi-task or must they focus on one subject at a time?
I can multi-task better than most….though I do my mental and physical limits. I’ve tested it. However, I have a fondness for focus on one task. I admire that sort of mental channeling…it often produces quality results instead of quantity in the mediocre.
21. If your character had one thing to say to their parents before they died, what would it be?
I still talk to my mother when she graces me with her presence. I have the distinct advantage of knowing that she will always be here and that gives me comfort. To my father….well, I suppose I should have been easier on him in his final years and after I was turned. I rescued him from falling prey to the guillotine but I would like to tell him in genuine fashion, that I forgive him for everything I suffered in my mortality.
Excuse me Santa Lestat but can I sit on Louis’ lap and tell him what I want for Christmas instead of yours please. 🎅🎁😀

Go ahead, suit yourself! *gestures to Louis, sitting on a nearby divan. Louis lowers the newspaper he was reading.* But know that his gift-giving skills are mediocre at best. He needs a lot of direction in that department. I can’t deny that sitting in his lap might be gift enough, however *evil smile*
Just don’t wriggle too much. He’s got a low tolerance for ebullient people, I should know from personal experience *huffs off*

I’ve been reading this book of manners and enjoying it very much! It is actually pretty progressive for its time.
It’s rare you see the scripts flipped like this isn’t it? So I ran with that. But poor old fellow, everyone deserves respect and should be allowed to wear what they like without abuse. Isn’t that right?

These aren’t great pics, reblogging bc my friends and I were in NOLA last weekend (12/5/15) and there was tons of film equipment crowding the little French Quarter for this, they were shooting on Chartres St., near Jackson Square 😀 That fleur-de-lis on the car door is ubiquitous in that city. They even have it on the trash cans.
What’s your preferred fighting style? Do you prefer to use physical weapons or no?
Depends on who I’m up against….but I’m lethal enough on my own. My nails, teeth, strength, and will to live are my best weapons and not much is a match for me. The ax…well, that’s more for show. If I am overwhelmed and need to turn to weapons, then we’re all in trouble, wouldn’t you think?
