Nicolas de Lenfent

I love the Vampire Chronicles and my absolute favourite is, has always been and will always be Nicki.

I know my hair is not curly enough on this Picture, but it had been a long day and my curls had faded a bit. Still, this is my favourite Picture of my red Velvet coat. The embroidery has been done by Hand and it was my ‘first time’ too. Sadly, I cannot Play the violin… but I love it anyway. ^.^

Can we please talk about how perfect the-savage-nymph-art is as Nicolas de Lenfent?

(She made the whole outfit herself. She did all the embroidery by hand! I commented this cosplay about 5 years or so ago, then I met her at a convention in 2014. She told me her nickname of a site we’re both on and I suddenly made the connection to her Nicki-Cosplay… I had planned to cosplay Armand (along with a friend as Louis) the very next day and I got her to wear Nikolas for me.
What can I say? I fell in love. Literally.
Meeting her changed my life. A lot. But I’m so much more happy now.)

I’m trying to get together an Armand cosplay and I need help figuring out outfit choices. I’ll be doing a modern Armand and I don’t really know what modern outfit choices that I could use. Can you please help me owo???

Yah sure! First of all: @chrissydeath and @amadeo-child-of-the-renaissance are fab Armand cosplayers/artists and also @sheepskeleton​, who has drawn Armand in modern outfits, they’d probably have better suggestions than mine but I WILL TRY.

I’d suggest looking at fanart of Armand, and unfortunately, I don’t have my #fanart collection divided into different characters so I pulled a few memorable ones out for ya here ;D Go ahead and jump in that tag for more, if u dare.

The crucial part of any Armand cosplay is his hair, of course, but everything else is p. much up to you. What would you headcanon he wears? Sometimes he likes to be all decked out in pricey fitted clothes, but he also has a sense of humor, he probably went for all kinds of silliness in the ‘70′s (and he still goes to 70′s themed parties bc of course he does), but I think he’s most comfortable in tight black pants or skinny jeans, a loose t-shirt (Daniel’s probably), and a well-worn light-weather jacket. He looks great in fur for winter, too.

Hello there, another anon! 😉 Right off the bat, check out @remarried, she is hella awesome ❤ garama used to make cool VC art but he doesn’t anymore and deleted most of his old stuff but check out his blog anyway and @i-want-my-iwtv (aside from having an awesome VC blog herself!) has a nice collection of his works. @ashetray did some hella rad VC fanarts, so did @devmin-art. But I reccommend going into @i-want-my-iwtv‘s fanart tag, you will surely find something to enjoy 😉 

I probably forgot some people and I’m going to feel super bad in 3… 2… 1…

Yes, @sheepskeleton is among those she mentioned as great fanartists in our fandom! We do have a bunch more active ones, but there is definitely some gold (older works or works by artists who have only done a small number of VC pieces) in my #fanart tag. All of our fanartists are awesome and some are even open to suggestion, if you send them an ask with a good prompt.

Some other VC fanartists that come to mind in addition to those already mentioned above, in no particular order:

@anaryawe, @jealizing, @kotilae, @n2015n, @amadeo-child-of-the-renaissance, @chrissydeath, @hedonistbyheart (more from this person on their deviantart page), @garama does spoil us by posting VC occasionally so I must keep them in this list, @obsessional-ram

Then there are a few I would recommend bc altho they do not post as often, they are definitely worth checking out (please do NOT take it personally if I didn’t mention you here, these are just the names that immediately come to mind):

I, personally, also draw and will hopefully be animating more, with the right amount of time and motivation…

I can’t recall any description of me that includes the words ‘more beautiful than’ (there was the sentence ‘pretty as a girl’ for which somebody got rightfully punched).
This question sounds like a petulant child’s, so I’m guessing Rose?
On another note: my beauty has to compensate for my character. Why do you think I’m literally getting away with murder? I’m most certainly glad my sadism doesn’t show. So maybe the ‘innocence’ so many seem to see in my face (let’s be honest: I had 5 centuries to perfect that look) is enhanced when they notice what horrors I’m capable of? They see me and they think of a young boy, because my age doesn’t show and then they witness me being cruel and the shock of the discovery makes them wonder how my features don’t reflect it because people still link ‘evil’ to ‘ugly’ (at least now they don’t burn you on the stake for looking like a hag), so the discrepancy enhances certain perceptions?
That was a little philosophical, so let’s get to the ‘being nice’ part. I can feel Marius looking at me… Have you considered that each of us might simply possess their own kind of beauty? Personal preference exists and sometimes has little to do with age or being pretty. However- I advice you to ditch the person that told you to your face they find another more pretty than you are, since it was either them telling you they’re not interested or them being plainly mean. Unhealthy for your self-esteem in both cases, I’d say. If you ended up with that conclusion by yourself you should ask yourself why it is so important to you what others think of you.”
