Interview with The Vampire script

Okay, I know that I already submitted stuff to you before, but I think I have discovered something really cool. It seems to me that itâs the original script for the movie. However, I have not dug deep research into it.
Anyways, itâs very VERY morbid compared to the movie and in some parts is more like the book (and others, especially in the beginning, arenât but are intriguing??).
@i-want-my-iwtvâ replied: Yes! Iâm aware of this version of the script, April 1992, second draft (allegedly, but I bet there were a lot more drafts). Pretty easy to find, and this is the one that is probably most commonly printed out for the actors to sign, when you see autographed copies up on eBay.
It is a really fun read, even w/ the slightly ooc dialogue at times, but I can understand that AR was trying to shoehorn in as much canon as she could and I canât fault her for that goal! And yes, it includes scenes that didnât make it into the final cut. Some werenât even filmed đ
It has little gems in it like the names of Louisâ wife and child who died:
âDIANNE DE POINTE DU LAC 1763 – 1791
INFANT JEAN MARIE – 1791â
^Dianne would have been a little older than Louis, if she died at 28 ;A; And really, âDiANNEâ? Nice author cameo, AR. Very smooth ;]
Fortunately for us, some of the filmed scenes that didnât make it into the final cut still had production stills taken which were used in pre-release publicity (collected them in my #cut scenes tag) like this one:
^I think this was another early Tryna-Get-This-Dumb-Fledgling-To-Kill-People scene, before Louis ran off to chill in the sewers for a bit.
This version of the script also has a rewrite of the Lestat/Gabrielle waking-up-inside-a-crowded-church scene, but Louis and Claudia w/Lestat instead of Gabrielle!

I think heâs close enough in appearance. The pics you shared are from his former modeling days and he seems to have grown past the slightly feminine look he had in those shots, but I found some more anyway.Â

The fandom is currently dying of excitement or misery or something inbetween! Itâs only been ONE DAY since Josh Boone tweeted that pic of Jared Leto with the caption âLestat – there can be only one.â and Iâve already seen tons of support and tons of hate for this possible casting choice.

^Despite the last line thrown in there by the author, who has not provided any other evidence than the tweet, we donât know if itâs official yet. @cloudsinveniceâ informs us that the pic is NOT Josh Boone playing dressup with Leto to make him into their version of Lestat; it was from Letoâs instagram, March 2015:
NOW, if I was Josh Boone, I wouldnât tweet something like that with such a bold statement unless:
- A. I had already been talking w/ Leto about it and he was interested, or
- B. I wanted to get Letoâs attention on the project and see if he was into it.Â
EITHER WAY⌠Letâs all be cautiously optimistic. Iâm not saying Iâm 100% convinced yet but Leto has alot going for him:
- He is currently very hot and he doesnât age.Â
- He is an actual rockstar and has all the singing and stage presence that goes with that.
- Did you see him in Alexander?? Is this not what happened? Heâs willing and able to bring the sensuality to the role that we could never have before *u*

I keep seeing it on pinterest with that URL as the source, & no matter how much I search it, I canât seem to find the tumblr post it came from or the artist!
@allthe-lace-and-velvetâ, I did a reverse image search with google and didnât find very good source for your pic. Looks like this image is posted with the wrong description (and I am pretty damn sure itâs titled wrong as âStrider (Aragorn)â) in this artistâs portfolio. Artist is listed as Mark Satchwill. If you look at his portfolio, this looks like this style.Â
Posting here in case someone else knows the source or can do a more thorough search than I did. People, sign your work! Watermarks are ok, too! So that we can give credit where it’s due *u*
