Idk if I would kill for it but I would really like some of that ❤ I haven’t read PLROA yet, maybe we’ll get some Louis POV there or in the next book. We had a chapter from his POV in PL. What would you want to know about him specifically? What would you want him to write about?

I always advise people to read the books before they judge them, but as I pointed out in that post w/ Michael Gavin’s review, some people do judge before they read. Gavin read it, and that was his opinion. I shared that link and excerpt bc a friend had shared it w/ me, and also, many of the other reviews I’ve seen so far are recaps which may contain spoilers.
BTW, I’ll be making a masterpost of PLROA recaps, please send me an ask/message me if you did/are doing recaps!

This is just a fandom blog, and yes, I do share criticism of the books on here. Criticism =/= censorship. I’m sorry that one bad review could prevent you from reading a book. There are other VC blogs (#VC fandom hunters) that you can reach out to, maybe they’ll respond differently.
The thing is, yes, you actually might hate it! BUT, there may be one line in it that you love, and that will have made the book worth reading.
It’s just a book though. It’s not the end of the world.
I haven’t seen it yet! But I really should! It comes highly recc’d and the aesthetic is very VC. Ages ago, @painauchocolatine had told me to watch it, and I really will!

[X] My initial reaction is offense, you’re right about that, but I know you meant it in good faith. Perhaps it’s because Armand has suggested it so many times as an insult, and I detest that there’s a connotation that anyone “on pills” or “seeing a shrink” is somehow lesser for doing these things. Who the f&ck decided that wearing glasses to improve one’s vision was acceptable but needing extra chemicals to improve one’s brain functions was somehow an indication of being some kind of, I don’t know, freak of nature?! Oh right, wearing glasses will get you bullied, too *tosses up hands*
Here’s the thing that I maybe failed to convey to you or that some of you chose to misread.
I grew up with neglect and physical abuse on a regular basis. Directly proportional to any time I wanted to strike out and try to find what any child craves – affection, love, support. I had so little of those things. I starved for them. Do you know what it’s like to have to sit at the dinner table and be polite to someone sitting at the head of the table who less than an hour ago beat you to the ground, your face on the cold stone floor, and ridiculed you for crying about it? You’re wearing bruises from it, you have some bandages, you taste your own blood in your mouth from your split lip with each bite of the food that YOU brought home to this person? Trying not to shake or cry. This person who asks you to play chess with him after dinner as if nothing happened?
this is one perfect, powerful, gut wrenching introspection on the character and thank the Gods for Coven Leaders like @i-want-my-iwtv for being here and giving us posts like this one.

OMG yes to all of that! Mortal Lestat AU. Did he wake her up w/ a kiss? Or violin music? Maybe it was a kazoo this time… I saw the trailer just last night, and I was like, AKASHA! “She will claim what she has been denied.” Yassss slay….
But there was so much that was good about movie!IWTV!… I know I know, it’s fun to poke fun at it regardless… movie!QOTD was much more cinema sinful. IWTV’s greatest sin was Antonio!Armand but c’mon, ppl who didn’t read the books didn’t know that…
Time to open my mind? It doesn’t need to open too far, he was already a vampire! Idk if he’d be willing to play another vampire when he was one for so long, but Marius is pretty different from what I know of AS’s TB character, maybe he’d do it 😉 Showy and muscly? Marius might have to show some skin sometimes… wouldn’t be terrible if he looked good in his birthday suit ❤

The pronunciation of his name is up for some debate; it isn’t explicitly defined in canon. Les Mis fandom ppl – who also have a Marius in their canon – tend to pronounce it “MAHR-eeus” with more emphasis on the first syllable.
I’m not a scholar on Roman history, either, so someone who is can chime in on this, bc it would probably be that way. I’ve always pronounced his name “Marry-iss” which I’m sure is totally wrong, but sounds right to me 😛
